Ransom is the story of a gangland kidnapping gone wrong. Lee Bang plays the gang boss who hires Tyler Knight and Nat Turnher to kidnap his wife and hold her for ransom until her wealthy father pays up. The story is told in flashback as Knight and Turnher try to explain their way out of the situation.
Fans of Quentin Tarantino will find similar conventions used in Ransom - and they're used well. The video has a gritty, realistic feel, the acting is inspired, the cinematography is as good as any noteworthy Hollywood indie film and the hardcore holds its own throughout.
