Private Digital Media's first step into the DVD realm is the obvious one: Pyramid, their big hit trilogy from 1996. This first volume contains the complete story originally presented on the videotape, and while it doesn't feature multiple angles, the image is crisp and the sound excellent. Viewers can choose any of five languages, and jump to any of the six chapters, each demarking the beginning of a sex scene, using the animated buttons.
The disk also contains the beginning of an interview with Pierre Woodman, to be continued on Pyramid 2 and 3; and "Postcards from Egypt," featuring short interviews with five Private girls shot specially for the disk, 10-30 hot photos of each girl from the feature, plus a sex scene from another Private video starring that same girl.
There's also a section on Private products, depicting box covers from other videos, magazine covers, shots of the novelties in the Private Collection, and (saving the best for last) more hardcore clips from other Private Digital Media offerings, as well as the original Pyramid trailer and a photo gallery of the construction of the famous Pyramid billboard on Sunset Boulevard. Impressive graphics throughout complete a package that every retailer who's even thinking of stocking DVDs will want to put near the top of his/her list.
