Adding James Avalon as a director for Erotica X is a happy development for fans of story-driven porn, as witnessed in Polyamory. Though not heavily scripted and featuring minimal dialogue, there’s still a story here. In a nutshell, it’s about a couple coming to terms with how to articulate their desires for an open relationship. But this being porn, the sex comes first—then the talking.
Polyamory opens up with Will (Logan Pierce) facing temptation in the oh-so-desirable form of Adriana Chechik. Expressing regret that he hasn’t yet cleared extracurricular activity with his girlfriend (Riley Reid), he leaves her lounging by her pool overlooking the city, looking irresistible in a black two-piece bathing suit.
But when Will gets to his girlfriend’s house, she’s already occupied with Danny Mountain. He doesn’t stay to see the action, but we get to watch, including one lovely moment when Reid strokes Mountain’s torso with a rose, letting it linger on his erection.
Will finds solace back on the balcony, where Chechik is hanging with Aidra Fox—and they welcome him with open legs. A three-way scene on a conveniently located sun bed comes to a nice climax, with Adriana stroking him to completion and then licking everyone clean. Shot with natural light and long afternoon shadows, it’s a visual treat.
And there’s more to come, including a femme-on-femme scene with Reid and girl/girl performer Jenna Sativa. After they go at it in yet another location with a stellar view, Sativa asks, “Have you had the big talk with Will yet?”
Turns out that big talk doesn’t come in this movie, but things do come full circle when we see Adriana walking up a plant-lined stairway to a hot tub. Who does she find? It’s Danny Mountain. Apparently this is a circle of friends that truly comes with benefits.
