Peepholes, the latest release from AVC, brings to the small screen the suspense and excitement of today’s popular police T.V. melodramas and blends it with the erotic sensuality of sophisticated adult video.
Sgt. Brenda Miller, portrayed by attractive and talented newcomer Champagne, is a touch New York lady detective who only wants a chance to prove she can get the job done. After a careful going over by police captain Walls, played by Richard Bolla, Brenda is “debriefed” on the “ins and outs” of good “undercover” work. Through painstaking determination, Brenda always gets her man… or woman.
The assignment is to infiltrate a drug ring, which uses a beauty salon as a front to distribute cocaine as well as other drugs. The beauty parlor is also the setting for several highly erotic love making scenes.
Brenda stops in to the beauty parlor for a wash and a blow, only to meet Sherry lane, played by the sensationally sensual, olive skinned Mai Lin. Sherry becomes quite intimate with Brenda and promises to introduce the undercover cop to Carlos (the head pusher) so that she can make a big purchase of cocaine.
Sherry sets up a meeting with Brenda and Carlos in the apartment building where they both coincidentally live. The three immediately get down to figures… their own in fact, with Carlos checking Brenda’s credentials in and out with the aid of Sherry.
Meanwhile, Howard, the depraved janitor of the building, played by Bobby Astyr, has his eye on all that goes on in the apartment. Through ceilings, floors and crawl-ways Howard manages not to miss even one sexual encounter. At one point, Howard interrupts a young virgin in the midst of being deflowered by her boyfriend. He chases the lad from their love-nest and decides to invade the young child himself.
Well, every dog has his day and of course this does not exclude Howard, the undersexed janitor. While perched peeping through the walls of Carlos’ apartment, he witnesses the big drug deal.
The scene commences with all the fervor of a Kojak segment, as Brenda, wired for sound and cash in hand, comes to consummate the cocaine transaction. As Howard watches intently, the deal turns sour as a microphone concealed in Brenda’s brassiere is exposed. Brenda’s back-up troops arrive just in the nick of time with guns blazing to save the day. One bullet barrels across the room and into the wall where good old Howard is perched.
Although slow moving in certain spots, Peepholes promises to be entertaining as well as arousing (especially the performances by Champagne and Mai Lin). The often steamy sex scenes are augmented by an interesting story that’s loaded with excitement.
Director Vince Benedetti unleashes a quality film that’s multi-faceted. The camera work, lighting, scenery and soundtrack mesh together to intensify the melodramatic suspense of Peepholes. The cast’s many sexual performances will have you wanting to disrobe and join in on all the fun. But just like Howard the janitor, you’ll have to settle for a ringside seat.
