The creators of Naked Scents have come up with the slogan, "there's nothing so alluring . . . as the fragrance of passion!" But they don't answer the question, "What happens if that fragrance has a stale scent?" And that's exactly what Naked Scents is guilty of – when you open its bottle, out pours a run-of-the-mill, tired cliché of a sex film.

Naked Scents is almost wall-to-wall sex. That wouldn't be so bad (how bad can sex be?). But by in large, the carnal couplings are the standard stuff one comes to expect from a standard hardcore offering. There are some pleasant diversions in the form of a couple of stimulating sexual set-tos, and the production values – locations, photography, and editing – are better than average. However, taken as a whole, Naked Scents comes out smelling like a wilted rose.

The flimsy plot centers around a millionaire perfume manufacturer, O.J. Pot (R. Bolls), who's engaged to marry a call girl turned entrepreneur, Fern (Tish Ambrose). But Pot's first wife, Alexis (Sharon Kane), is opposed to the marriage, fearing that the tramp will make the Pot family social outcasts. Tish Ambrose and R. Bolla are two veterans who put on a pretty steamy show. Tish also gets it on with Jerry Butler, and R. Bolla gets to indulge with Crystal Cox, then with Sharon Kane. Also of erotic interest is a scene with Bolla, Ambrose, Baby Doe, and Tasha Voux (the latter two hired as dancers at Pot's bachelor party). The four have a wedding eve orgy, which makes one wonder, why take vows when you're having this much fun?

But there's just so much random rutting that one can take before the film begins to wear thin. While Naked Scents doesn't offend, sex has been known to smell a lot sweeter!
