God does, indeed, work in Mysterious Ways, if this latest release from Girlfriends Films is any example. For starters, He confuses the Old Testament with the New Testament—and His son is prematurely gray.
India Summer plays a sad, repressed and fearfully religious woman whose daughter’s lesbianism is rubbing her morality the wrong way. Given that daughter Remy LaCroix is loudly banging Bonnie Rotten in the next room, it’s hard not to sympathize with mom. Alas, for LaCroix, said banging results in her becoming homeless.
This, naturally, leads to the budding lesbian meeting a Christ-like figure on the road who promises to help her in her plight. What follows is a clash of faith and long-suppressed desires that nearly tears Summer apart, but ultimately heals her and brings her family closer together. So close, in fact, that mom proves her newfound acceptance by stripping naked and watching her darling girl go all the way with her latest girlfriend.
Alex Chance and Chrissy Nova make a wonderfully eccentric married couple who genderfuck spousal terminology, and whoever Jesus is, he makes a super human savior.
