Remember Aja, the late-'80s not-quite-a-phenomenon? She's back... making similar impressions in yet another feature-length sleeping pill which aspires to stretch its premise (and cast) beyond the limits of mere enthusiasm. In My Second Love, Shawna Edwards kicks the bucket after a wedded night of bliss with hubby Cox, and is therefore angelically consigned to find him a new mate for the remainder of this earthly tour of duty. Apparently, this is what passes for "couples fare" these days.
Both Aja and Asia are stimulated by the Edwardian ghost to vie for Cox's affections, and they both come up empty as he tosses them each the stock "fuck-of-the-month." Shawna also receives a less-than-heavenly poke from fellow angel John Decker.
