There's a story here about a man and an ex-con (Billy Dee and Barbara Dare) who help three foreign spies blackmail a U.S. government employee into handing over top secrets. But director Stuart Canterbury's script is hard to follow due to numerous sex scenes, several of which have nothing to do with the story. Dialogue alternates with action, leaving this feature a disjointed presentation that, with a little better writing and editing, could have been a lot better.
And although there is plenty of sex, it's not all that exciting. Too many scenes start and end abruptly, leaving the viewer wondering "why?". The same incomplete feeling is found in the storyline, as the plot takes a long time to develop. If there was a surprise ending, the long wait for an explanation would be worth it. But there isn't, and by the time we learn what is happening (in the final scene), we don't care.
Canterbury should be noted for his videography here. The outdoor shots do not lack for professionalism, and he uses plenty of different camera angles to keep things interesting. Once in a while, the camera gets too close during the sex, but for the most part the viewer can see what's going on.
Also worth mentioning is the acting. Billy Dee does an excellent job as the street-wise "Benedict Arnold" who repents and saves the day, and Krista Lane's supporting role as warden is also well done.
