From lush jungle beginnings to a temporary return to civilization, this beautifully lensed overseas show-piece is simply stunning. Rocco Siffredi plays the apeman in this Tarzan remake; he and his achingly lovely co-star Rosa Caracciolo (Jane) frolic among authentic-looking natives and wild animals. The box claims that it was filmed on location in Africa, and damned if it doesn't look like it. (This must have cost a bundle to shoot.)
The story is right out of a Harlequin romance: an independently-minded heroine gets lost in the jungle, meets a handsome savage and tames him with her beauty and feminine wiles. Rocco is superb in his role, using jungle sign language, guttural speech and facial gestures to communicate his emotions to Rosa. There's nearly an hour of these two alone together, making love in three separate, leisurely paced sex scenes that are guaranteed to put any couple in the mood.
Alas, Janes is homesick and brings her apeman back to civilization. When she reconciles with her fiancee, Rocco finds consolation —and blistering sex— in the arms of the other women in the household. In one particularly stunning scene, Rocco summons a beautiful chambermaid to his quarters when he tugs on the servant's call cord (mistaking it for a vine). Only too anxious to serve this brutish man-beast, the maid offers up her genteel asshole to his jungle spear. Rocco delves into the bowels of her dark continent, nearly splitting her ass cheeks apart as he rams his elephantine cock in and out of her diminutive fox-hole. King of the jungle indeed!
Can Rocco find happiness in our society or will he return to the jungle? Will Jane go with him? We won't give anything away beyond saying that the strongly romantic current carries through to the very end.
This is going to be a strong contender for Best European release, as well as best couples sex scene (it will be hard choosing between the total of four scenes between Rocco and Rosa).
Retailers, market this film to couples and to fans of Rocco. Forget the fact that this is a foreign film, and therefore dubbed. You won't notice after the first few minutes. It's one of the best films we've seen all year.
