The spark is sputtering in this once highly entertaining series. The spontaneity has become rote and repetitive, the girls are no longer top-drawer, and the gags are getting tired.

This particular volume may just be an exception to the usually excellent rule. Or then again it may be time for Jack to hit a new road.
