Finally, I've gotten to review a really good adult film.

Awash in a sea of cheapo shot-on-video productions, If My Mother Only Knew is an excellent reminder that adult movies can have sex and a story. Of course, having good actors helps, and luckily, this production has some. Both Honey Wilder and John Leslie perform like the seasoned pros they are, but the film is stolen by Amber Lynn. Admittedly, I was never one of her bigger fans, but this film is enough to make me re-think my opinion.

From her appearance in the shower over the credits to her real hot (and realistic) sex scene with Tom Byron, this woman just oozes sexuality. And I mean oooozes. Seeing her in front of a fireplace is just enough to warm this cold body on a frigid night. For all those hack directors out there, this is how one makes an adult movie.

While watching If My Mother Only Knew, I realize that if more productions were of this caliber, perhaps X-rated movies would not have such a bad rap. Take out the sex and you would still have a decent film, something that cannot be said for the majority of the drivel on the market.

As for the story, it's another incest theme. This time, Honey Wilder steals her daughter's (Amber Lynn) boyfriend (Tom Byron). This little sexpot sleeps with Daddy . . . and so on. It's high-camp soap opera, with great sex all around.
