Remember Hitchcock's Rear Window, where the disabled voyeur suspects foul play in the apartment across the way and he spends his waking hours watching with binoculars? Well, welcome to Hot Seat where the disabled voyeur, this time a Traffic Court Judge, suspects foul play, etc., etc., and so forth.
This is a witty, well-written, neat little production. It fails to get the coveted fourth "A" only because I'm a perfectionist and it just ain't perfect. But the flaws are small ones, like a bit of sloppy editing. There are only two sets (which makes it twice as good as some) and a very static camera.
What is good, and why I am recommending Hot Scat, is that it's funny, erotic and well acted. Credit Damon Christian for getting good readings from a cast of characters who seem to be able to both act and fornicate. My compliments to the writers, but, as previously mentioned, particularly to Director Damon Christian for making a "hot" feature.
