Ginger’s Sex Asylum is a kind-of-cute little feature that disguises its sexual nasty streak behind a whimsical circus-type musical score. When I say nasty, I mean it as a compliment, because the main reason to see this Bruce Seven feature can be found in the opening sexual segment, an extended, hot and yes, nasty romp with Ginger Lynn and Harry Reems.
It’s a shame that Harry’s name is not Fred. These two sexual gians work so well togther that they’re by far, porn’s tag team champions. So it would be better if we could call them Fred and Ginger. Anyway, Reems plays the head doctor at this sex asylum and he begins examining Ms. Lynn by sending five little yellow balls into her rear, medical purposes only, I assume. They proceed to steam up the room with an array of sexual behavior best left inside an asylum.
The inmates, a bunch of weirdos who expose themselves to passers-by and act like chickens, get together with nurse Sharon Mitchell to kidnap Reems, known more as a manipulator than a doctor.
Although Fred, er, Harry and Ginger steal the show, a four girl elsbian sequence with Lynn, Mitchell, Brittany Stryker and Bionca is arousing, if not a bit too extended. Some of the cute dialogue plays nicely, although some sloppy sound edits mar the couple of outdoor scenes. But all in all, Ginger’s Sex Asylum, a very different shot-on-video feature, rises above the mediocrity of the genre and proves to be quite stimulating.
