In Funky Brewster we are treated to an inside look at the escapades of transplanted New Yorkers. No it's not Four Seasons, with everyone going through re-evaluations in their own lives. What we get is a handful of adult film regulars making their day rates — if that. It pretty much looks like they shot this thing in one day, and the cast looks as if it has been making too many cheap adult videos: tired, washed-out, with everyone looking older. It makes me wonder what the life expectancy of an erotic performer is these days.

What makes this bang-a-thon rise above a complete failure is the likes of Erica Boyer. She looks like she hasn't slept in days, her voice rough from something. But oh boy, when she gets her hands on Tanya Foxx this video turns into a searing study in lesbian sex. Too bad they didn't call it Dikey Brewster and put Erica in the lead. Melissa Melendez looks like she would rather be at home watching television. And a final note to the producers. Don't put commercials in the middle of tapes like this. It makes me want to change the channel.
