Rhonda is a lonely girl from Brooklyn who sees Travis, standing on the bridge, preparing to jump. Against her friends' frenzied advice, she gets involved with the suicidal man, seeking him like a male Cinderella so she can return his lost shoe. They eventually find themselves unlikely traveling companions on a mysterious scavenger hunt dictated by Travis' recently dead male lover's voice on a tape recorder. Along the way, the uneasy couple gain greater understanding of themselves, each other, love, life and hope. A great film with a message that doesn't beat you over the head, likeable characters and a story line that makes you care.
This non-sex adult-subject film should do well with gay, straight and bisexual customers looking for a solid, good-quality tape dealing intelligently with modern relationship issues in a way that's fun and not preachy.
