I haven't seen Misery - actually I have, I'm married - but I know enough of the story to adult video writer Mike Horner laid up in a cabin after a car crash with fanatical fan April Rayne as his hostess.  He wants to kill off his fictional character Desiree but Norma Bates (April) will have none of it.  She helps him rewrite the story and together they fashion some nifty scenes for Desiree who is brought to life by Savannah.

Porn's top comic actor, Horner, gets some laughs with Markman's gags, some of which will only be understood by Los Angelinos.  But there's enough yuks to go around.  And here's the big surprise.  April Rayne, who's been in the business less than a year, turns in one of the best female performances of the year, not to overlook her terrific work in Personalities.  She's both funny and scary as the nutty porn fan who wields a knife like Mike wields his weapon.  Good story.  Good sex and good acting.  No reviewer or viewer could ask for more.
