Somewhere between John Waters and Café Flesh lies the Dominatrix Waitrix, a twisted indie featurette inspired by the director's frustrations from over 10 years of table waiting. And damn, does it show!
Fueled by revenge fantasies, the nonlinear plot details the replacement of ordinary waitresses by clones of D.M. (Sache). This allows the workers a much-needed break. Needless to say, the clones abuse the customers mercilessly - while the originals still collect their tips. When one of the randier waitresses (Eve Minax) takes a fancy to her Waitrix and decides to keep her around as a sex slave, the story takes an unexpected turn.
Created and performed entirely by lesbian activist/artists from Chicago, the ambiance of social rebelliousness is far more convincing than the performances, but the execution of the idea remains strong. While the sex doesn't get explicit until the B & D climax, Dominatrix Waitrix serves - make that offers - a stimulating piece of 21st century porn-art.
