Two solid feature films, Doin' The Ritz (reviewed Oct,'97) and Smoke & Mirrors (July '97) come to DVD with chapter stops, hardcore photo galleries, and brief biographies of their stars. Previews (most of which we could not access) for other Pleasure DVDs and a listing for the Pleasure Website fill out both discs. Smoke & Mirrors includes an additional menu button for accessing the movie's trailer.

As with a number of adult DVDs, pixelation is sometimes evident in backgrounds, within solid colors, and in areas of soft focus or low contrast. Higher bit-rates and/or less-aggressive MPEG-2 encoding would likely solve such problems.

Despite these shortcomings, the overall presentations are a cut above VHS; when one considers the low quality of most adult videotape dubs, that's no small difference.
