Bob Chinn's latest Peter Magnum, P.I. saga is long on TV cop-show plot, but the detective drama is gloriously overshadowed by a cast of beautiful women. Scott Styles stars as nice-guy Jimmy, an ex-con who's fresh out of jail and looking to settle an old score. When Jimmy finds that his ex-girlfriend Stacy (Stevie) has shacked up with treacherous criminal Evan Stone, he joins forces with friend Kim Chambers and reluctant private-dick Magnum. The convoluted back-story (Magnum mistakenly holds Jimmy responsible for killing his cousin Mikey, and so on) takes up too much tape, but well-shot, steamy sex redeems the indulgence. A lesbian scene with Keri Windsor and Chambers is a treat to behold, and the sentimental, lovin' threeway between Styles, Stevie and T.J. Hart gives the tape a truly happy ending.
