A dialogue-heavy political murder mystery.

Detectives Ana Foxxx and Donnie Rock have been called to investigate the murder of a Senator. His mistress (Dani Jensen)—"Or at least one of them," Foxxx observes—is still on the premises, hands and face still bloodied from her attempts at CPR on the victim. Under interrogation, Jensen details her tryst with the Senator (Tommy Gunn) straight through to his laconic, "My wife will kill us both," his telling Jensen to hide, and the gunshots that fell him as Jensen cowers under the bed.

The Senator's wife (India Summer) is sure that Jensen is the shooter and refuses to be interrogated without her lawyer present, but the wife's aide Alison Rey is more forthcoming, and tells of her seduction by the Senator's wife, which doesn't seem to advance the plot—until they hear gunshots.

Rock interrogates the Senator's daughter (Joseline Kelly) in her bedroom after finding out that dad left most of his estate to her. She admits she didn’t talk to her dad much ("The Senator only talked to me when he thought I was being a disappointment") and says she was "here, in my bed, thinking of big, manly police officers" when the shots were fired last night. She taunts and teases him until he gives in, but when Rock finds a gun in her bedroom he arrests her. Kelly responds with threatening to tell how he interrogates suspects.

On reflection, Rock realizes that an inheritance isn't enough motive for Kelly. When he tells Foxxx she first suspends him, then shoots him. Foxxx then flashes back to her own tryst with the Senator, and her displeasure at her callous post-fuck dismissal ... and the way she enacted her revenge.
