Vaginal terrorism is the theme of Commando Lovers, which is the story of blonde Amber Lynn setting out to free her father, who is being imprisoned in Latin America on trumped-up charges. As the title suggests, the combats here are all in the bedroom and the film is thankfully much more heavy on the sex than the violence.

Lynn plays Juliette, whose brother (real life) Buck Adams has failed at the film's beginning to get their father freed. So Juliette sets out to free the old man in less conventional ways. First, though, she hops into the sack with her attorney brother to help restore his sense of manhood, after losing such an importantly Freudian court case.

Amber's acting here leaves a bit to be desired, but the script by Norm Seaman doesn't exactly call for acting. Lynn is much more in her element in the bedroom scenes, which occur every few minutes.

Anyway, once she has brought her brother back to life, she set out for the country where her father is imprisoned, accompanied by what is best described as an oversexed A-Team. That consists of Rene Summers, Gina Carrera and Melanie Scott. The plot that follows is sort of a living embodiment of that old bit about making love, not war. In Commando Lovers, the girls do both at the same time in the course of getting Amber's Dad out of Latin bondage.

The production values are good here, even though the acting is uniformly nonexistent. Director Vinni Rossi knows a lot more about camerawork than about directing actors. He also seems to know a lot more about sex than any other aspect of movie-making. Of course, that's all that's called for. Commando Lovers is a pretty good adventures-sex tape.
