The first feature from Kick Ass Pictures seems more like one of their trademark vignette videos with a little more story. Mark Kulkis' script has lots of bright lines but the story seems disjointed and rather logily paced.
Carey lights up the screen as Carrie - essentially playing herself - but kind of falls off the radar when required to act, as Mary Jo. And she reads the crucial voice-over narration flatly, with no spark or even interest, as if she had something else on her mind. She perks up considerably, though, in the sex scene with Ben English that "liberates" her character.
Lauren Phoenix is her usual beautiful and horny self in a scene with Trevor Zen, but it's pretty newcomer Cytherea who steals the show as Mary's secretary. In her scene with Steve Hatcher you can see that having sex on camera still hasn't become just a job. There's also an anal with Arianna Jollee and Tony Tedeschi.
Despite the movie's lack of sizzle, Carey's recently achieved high profile as a California gubernatorial candidate has made anything with her in it a must-stock item.
