Climax has no problems providing climaxes. But weak simultaneous plots combined with a few production quirks leave this film in the middle of the adult movie road.
Filled with hardcore raunch, the sex is predominantly two girl/one guy scenes loaded with breast and face wet shots and some acrobatic positions. It’s not the most romantic form of sex, but it is hot.
As for the plots, one deals with a bible salesman who loses his wife for one night in an Atlantic City poker game, and the other deals with a doctor who cures his patients’, and his own, horniness. Neither are related (except for a brief moment), nor are they strong enough to carry viewer interest.
Director Henri (Taboo American Style) Pachard’s camerawork is adequate, except for an occasional stray camera and somewhat dim lighting. The cast handles what little script exists very well, but I’m sure I’ve heard some of the soundtrack in another adult feature.
All-in-all, sex makes Climax worth the price of a rental. But a little more punch from the script wouldn’t have hurt.
