Cat Alley takes the common corporate greed angle and twists it around a bit in a well-acted, evenly paced feature. In addition, stunning blonde Candie Evans makes her bid for stardom with a sizzling performance, highlighted by one of the best lesbian scenes of the year.
She starts out by taking on Jerry Butler, one of the board members of the Fortune 500 corporation that she works for. The sex is so great that he has a heart attack and dies. But through the use of videotape and a weird corporate by-law written by board chairman Peter North's grandfather, Butler is able to elect whomever he sees fit to fill his vacancy.
He elects former prostitute and company art director Krista Lane, with whom he had a better than usual hooker/john relationship. North hires horny private investigator Tony Martino to get some "dirt" on Krista, hoping to strip her of this post.
The sexual double-dealings continue in a story that mixes nicely with the sex. The aforementioned Evans lesbian sequence occurs with Krista Lane and it's a stunner. But Candie's liason with Tom Byron also elicits heat and Bunny Bleu's devouring of Peter North is nothing to sneer at.
Cat Alley, while well-edited, fully exploits video's newly found couples' market. Men will be happy to gaze at Bunny, Krista and, especially, Candie, while newcomers to the genre of erotic tapes might be surprised at the insightfulness of the script. Well-done!
