A fairly large cast does a reasonably good job at faking the event of Carnaval. This is like a too-hot-for-TV video that teases, and then, surprisingly, delivers. The usual flashing leads to out-and-out sex, caught on tape with shaky NYPD Blue-style camerawork. Suspension of disbelief is the key here. If the viewer can buy the scenario, the rewards are great. Tom Camp gives his production just the right look, painted bodies moving joyfully, women pulling up their shirts or yanking down their thongs to give the cameraman an eyeful. When the tide turns from sexual suggestion to head-on sucking and fucking, it's like glimpsing a bit of breast on the Christian channel - naughty and exciting as hell.
