Careena Collins is a lovely creature. Born to Run will satisfy anyone's urge to view her, as she appears in three extremely erotic encounters. However, those expecting to really learn about her true life may or may not believe what they see. My guess is that the story's true, since it's a rather tame, middle-class tale, about Careena and her over-possessive father (Mike Horner).
Technically, Born to Run is a masterpiece. The varied camera angles capture the sweaty action and the editing makes the feature flow during its 80-minute running time. Jerome Tanner uses the finest equipment for post-production in video today, but the overuse of the effects does not heighten the eroticism. It's great for variation in small doses, but gets to be a bit too much.
Nonetheless, Careena is worth the price of admission: with Steve Powers, on top of John Leslie and on the "casting couch" sofa with Jerry Butler in one of the best sex scenes on video this year. Some of the male cast members don't fare quite as well (Jack Baker and Mike Horner overact badly and Steve Powers flubs most of his lines). But Candie Evans is great, as usual, as Careena's best pal.
Born to Run succeeds in bringing Careena Collins to the forefront of the adult video industry. Can't wait to see more of her.
