Borrowing liberally from the 1982 cult classic Blade Runner, Adams has given Blade a moody, atmospheric look. This, combined with good performances from most of the principals, elevates the film to a higher rating than a consideration of the sex alone would warrant.
Cops Tabitha Stevens and Tony Tedeschi share a high-octane multi-position fuck in the bedroom, and living love doll April gives us some nice tease and solo action while corporate chief Bobby Vitale watches; unfortunately, most of the sex seems to have been shot with an eye towards softcore, perhaps for cable television. Also, though Adams works hard to tell a complete and dramatic story, the climax is quick, flip and generally unsatisfying.
