Here's a story that gets better as it goes on. Just the opposite of most shows lately. Buck Adams is a vampire who bites and transforms Alicyn Sterling into one of his own. But the vain Alicyn is perturbed that she can no longer see herself in a mirror. So she lets Buck have a stake where it will do the most harm. No, not there - in the chest. She then proceeds to put the bite on the rest of the cast including Mike Horner, who provides the interesting plot twist that ends the show.
What little humor there is, falls flat, though, The Jewish vampire bit was much funnier when Roman Polanski did it. P.J. Sparks, who was P.J. Kerrington in Sleeping With Emily, is more at ease here in a girl-next-door role, a part more suited to her because of her natural good looks. Her two scenes with Buck and Randy are standouts. A very stylish box that should attract the eye and a stylish production that is a nip above most others in design and execution.
