In Tinseltown, screwing is an art form. Aspiring Actresses reveals that axiom from three different perspectives. Peter North plays a naïve producer, just getting a taste of success. Marc Wallice is a hack writer with an ego the size of LA county. And Don Fernando plays an aspiring, talented screenwriter who mainly walks the unemployment lines.
All the men are as different as they come, yet each share the same talent – an ability to snag aspiring actresses into dangerous liaisons. Fernando gets his hooks into the costume girl (Megal Leigh), Wallice bunks with a "B" film bimbo Cory (Wolf), and North gets a real "behind the scenes" look. Rachel Ryan's behind, that is, which Peter is pleased to penetrate.
Nina DePonca, as North's Girl Friday, is wasted with an arbitrary lesbian seduction, and an absolutely dull session with Sasha Gabor.
Aspiring Actresses aspires to greatness, but settles for mere entertainment. Not a bad compromise.
