Although it's quite colorful and professionally produced, A Passage Thru Pamela emerges as a rather unsettling hardcore experience.

The story starts off intriguingly enough. Pamela has been crowned "Miss Buenos Aires," and she bitterly whisks off to a top New York modeling agency when she finds her boyfriend in bed with beautiful Barbie Dahl. At the agency she's greeted by Sharon Kane and photographer Joey Santini. He's smitten by Pamela's charms and literally nails her from behind at a photo session. Sharon invites Pamela to stay at her apartment and later that evening slowly seduces her gracious guest. But, Sharon shockingly discovers her star model is really ' a transsexual who desperately wants to have an operation. Anyway, Sharon proceeds to devour Pamela's puny pecker in one of the more bizarre sex scenes in many a moon.

The rest of the movie concentrates on a rival agency where kinky Kimberly Carson is planning to expose Pamela's private parts at a masquerade party thrown in her honor. Unfortunately, this gala affair turns out to be a real drag.

Easily the hottest encounter this flick has to offer is a torrid threesome featuring Carson, Kane, and Santini. It was almost comforting watching two real women working over a real man.

The end credits exclaim that Pamela has had her operation and is now a full-fledged female. It also promises she'll return in a sequel. In this particular case, once was definitely enough.
