While the wet theme worked very well in companion release Dripping Inside, the extremely good-looking Soaking Wet Mess finds difficulty in some of the sex scenes. With water flowing throughout eight of the nine scenes, the girls seem to have difficulty getting beyond the style and into the sex. You can see their difficulty at times as water flows on and around their bodies.

The exception is a dark, moody scene with the completely tattooed Cadence St. John and Charley Chase, who finger and lick their way in a warehouse, with cool use of a mirror to enhance the eroticism. And the box is misleading as the very tattooed St. John and a scene of a blindfolded girl grace the box cover, inferring a fetish-oriented feature, which it is not. However the high production values, along with the good scenes mentioned above, make this two-disc, nine-scene, 17-girl lesbian sexfest an excellent value.
