Here’s a parody of a show that parodied itself, and the results are so well done that you may find yourself recollecting scenes and not being entirely sure whether you saw them on reruns of the Comedy Central series or in this New Sensations spoof penned by Eddie Adams and director Lee Roy Myers.

The action begins as busty newcomer Natasha Nice joins the crew in the squad room, launching a spate of inappropriate and juvenile comments that could have come from the mouths of the original cast. But here they can take things to the next level, which inexorably leads Nice into a threesome with Junior (Mr. Pete) and Jones (Tyler Knight).

But first there’s the usual harebrained interactions with hapless perps. A prostitution sting operation gets out of control once Clemmy (Jessica Lynn) lures a john (Alex Gonz) into a hotel room. James Deen and Bobbi Starr are caught having very public sex in a public park. And though prisoners Sophie Dee and Stephanie Cane don’t seem too excited about the dildos that the deputies toss on their queen-sized cot, they’re much more interested when convicted killer Tony DeSergio turns up in their cell.

Everyone in the cast seems to be having a great time, but several performers stand out. Wearing a carefully sculptured helmet of hair with those trademark spit curls, Jada Fire is terrific as Raineesha. Violet Monroe is equally good as oddball cat-lover Trudy, who finally consummates her passion for Lt. Dangle (Jack Lawrence).

But it’s Lawrence’s Dangle that makes the whole project. Wearing micro shorts with as much panache as Thomas Lennon, who created the mincing squad leader, Lawrence has Dangle’s vocal nuances nailed. It’s a performance that ought to be remembered come awards season.
