This lighthearted classic from Radley Metzger, the most stylish of Golden Age directors, has been lovingly restored from the lustrous original film negative. It's a showcase for Gloria Leonard, sensual and sophisticated, as Manhattan madam Maraschino Cherry.
The only story line involves an unexpected visit by the Mara's small town sister, who isn't at all surprised by her occupation. The rest is one-liners, sex and S/M, including a classic threeway with Leonard and gorgeous Annette Haven bedeviling submissive C.J. Laing.
Elegant entertainment that looks like it was shot last month. The bonus disc has a long interview with the still glamorous Leonard.
