The Akasiro family, distantly related to royalty, is in financial decline. They still have a large house that houses four family members, a butler and maid, but we learn from the anonymous narrator ? who is one of the six ? that he or she is plotting to ruin the family.
The sickly daughter of the family, Nanako, fantasizes of her brother when she masturbates. When her fantasy becomes reality and they are caught, brother Yoshiro is sent away. This does not bode well for the family, for Yoshiro was the only one competent enough to hold them together. Nanako meanwhile receives an offer she can’t refuse: go to Tokyo and endure five days of pleasuring men.
There is a disappointing amount of sex in House of 1000 Tongues, and we were hoping the traitor of the house plot would unravel over time, instead all is revealed very soon into the story. Overall, it’s enjoyable but doesn’t live up to its promising title.
Retailing: Customers will be intrigued by the title.
