A celebration of Grindhouse Cinema with a slight documentary feel, this shows the starting point of the old 8mm 42nd Street porn house fare. Edited by Duke Stoughton, it's an awesome collection of retro images, plus trailers of classic Joe Sarno films and bonus footage.
42nd Street Pete is an affable character as host and historian, speaking from personal experience before presenting a series of reels showing girl on girl, some bondage, lots of lingerie and panties and mostly solos. The image quality stands up to time, and also fun is the added film reel sound effect. Worthy of mention is the music provided by The Pink Delicates, The Ubangis and Ron Atkins, adding a post-punk blues feel.
