With fetish-meets-hardcore fare as good as this, it's a wonder that more specialty section BDSM fare, with its lack of full-on sex, hasn't been driven to extinction.

Right from the creepy, highly stylized titles, one knows that Dementia is going to be something special, and, indeed, as it plays out, it becomes clear that this is the most ambitious title Mayhem has thus far churned out.

Not quite sure if the Mayhem demographic is interested in a storyline, but Dementia tells the loose tale (more of a connecting device, really) of the fetish sexual awakening of Aurora Snow's character. But it's the sizzling sex scenes, full of babes attired in high-rent fetish clothes (not the garden variety stuff found in so many fetish-meets-hardcore titles) that make Dementia worthy of Editor's Choice status.

What a treat, for instance, to see stone cold gorgeous Hannah Harper, garbed in skin tight black and red latex, get d.p.'d, then double face frosted by two masked swordsmen (going by the shoulder tattoo, Trent Tesaro is one of 'em) in the opener. As hot as that is, Katja Kassin in scene two is way nastier as she engages in drool laden face fucking care of three dudes, followed by some deep gape anal, d.p. and air-tight action, then three steamy loads into her stretched-to-the-breaking-point maw as she begs the guys to "use my mouth as a [splooge] toilet." Pre-nom it for Best Group Scene.

Scene three has Snow, not the most emotive performer, pretty much following the same drill as the two preceding scenes, with musclemen Brian Pumper and Buster Good. That's followed by another pre-nom worthy Group Scene, this one a scalding fiveway with Gia Paloma, newbies Vanessa Lane (who really shines here) and Daphne Rosen, and Tony Tedeschi and Seth Dickens. The raunchy closer has Snow licking clean a set of clear glass plates, one by one, after a small army of guys pops onto 'em. Pre-nom it for Best Oral Scene. Immediately afterward, she gets analyzed, then facialized by some big beefy guy in a leather mask.

Pre-nom Dementia for Best All-Sex title and Jim Powers (doing, to this reviewer's knowledge, his first serious title; yes, you read that correctly) for Best Director - Non Feature.

One question though. Is Dementia "A Jim Powers abomination," as the box cover states, or "A Jim Powers demented experience," as the credits tell us? Please do tell.
