Kira Kener and Lezley Zen play Jackie and Jill, young professionals looking for love through the Internet. Unable to find it with men, they turn to each other in this Raven Touchstone-penned knock-off of Kissing Jessica Stein, an indie film hit a few years back.
Jackie is a scandal rag photographer, Jill a bookstore owner. It's the sex-hungry Jill who initiates the affair and causes its eventual breakup. Nick Manning plays a shy fellow photographer who yearns for Jackie. Lily Thai plays Jackie's sister who's getting hitched to Kurt Lockwood.
Touchstone's script rings true in its depiction of contemporary loving habits. The sex, which includes some group scenes, is typically Vivid vanilla, but that's no bad thing. Kener and Zen are convincing as the bisexual lovers - Kener, in particular - as is the atypically low-key Manning.
Vivid director Paul Thomas has an unbilled cameo as himself, autographing copies of "Memoirs of a Prince of Porn" in Jill's store.
Pre-nom Kener Best Actress, Manning Best Supporting Actor - Video.
