Reviews

It's funny how things go in circles - way back in 1978, the John Holmes vehicle The China Cat spoofed Charlie's Angels the TV show; over 20 years later, the film franchise based on said show was born, and now that film franchise has been porn-ified in the form of Angels.

And Angels is one all-stops-out production, with gunfights, boat races, car chases and everything in between. It's also a smart way of utilizing all three Sin City contract girls (Aurora Snow, Hannah Harper and Shay Sweet) at once. As "Harley's Angels," our heroines get sent on the trail of master thief Z. Casparian (Steven St. Croix), reported to be after a precious painting called "The Shepherds of Arcadia." The painting was snagged from under him at auction by millionaire heiress Dante Barker (Asia Carrera), whom Harper is assigned to protect, while Snow and Sweet get close to Casparian in their own special ways.

As we later learn, Snow was once Casparian's lover, making their re-consummation of that love (in reverse c.g., c.g. and mish) an inevitability that happens also to be the best sex scene here. A close second is Harper's late-night lez-off with Carrera.

Harper is particularly noteworthy in this picture, exuding enough charm and screen presence to warrant a pre-nom for Best Supporting Actress - Video. And we have to give a nod to the eye-popping box cover for Best Packaging.
