Those who've seen America's Sweethearts will be looking for a surprise ending to this send-up, but they'll be disappointed: Dru Berrymore, playing the drab assistant to super-porn-star Savana Samson, indeed gets her ex, Dale DaBone - but unfortunately, getting there is all the fun.

The opener has Dru masturbating to one of Savana's and Dale's sex vids, but it's dildus interruptus when Savana calls her in for a career conference: Producer Dino Bravo is holding her to a commitment to finish the last scene on her contract - with Dale, of course - and she has to figure out how to handle it. From that point, all proceeds pretty much as it did in the Zeta-Jones/Cusack/Roberts version, with Lee Stone as Savana's asshole boyfriend.

Some of the better scenes include Savana's horsie/reverse cowgirl on the piano, where Stone has to keep pointing out for the busty blonde where the imaginary camera is; Stone's threeway with Brittney Skye and Brooke Daze that starts out as a girl/girler; and Lezley Zen's seduction of Price and Bravo by the pool, featuring doggie, reverse cowgirl and mish. Also decent, if too short, is the inevitable finale.

Sadly, the fact that so much of the plot revolves around Samson's love/hate relationship with DaBone, which should be a lot funnier than comes across on tape, prevents their interrupted scene from scoring heat points.
