In what must be Jim Holliday's most approachable feature in recent memory, porn star/bitch Kylie Ireland manages to piss off just about everybody around her — until a redneck-sounding Holliday propels her into the misty world of porn present and past (mostly past). Ron Jeremy, Sharon Kane and Sharon Mitchell are among Kylie's guides to scenes depicting nastiness, sexual and otherwise, from which Kylie's supposed to learn lessons — and within which scripters N.D. Mann and Max Sparber (at least one of whom, we suspect, is/are Holliday himself) comment on the political implications of porn, what the "good old days" (and performers) were really like, and other lively topics.

Expect to see some faces that no longer much appear in vids, like Nico Treasures, Julie Rage, Raylin and Kimberly Jade (which'll give you an idea when this feature was made). But the action is searingly hot — Kylie does anal, as do several others — and the script (if not all of those performing the lines) is well worth keeping fingers off the Fast-Forward button.

The image seems soft at times, but there's little pixelation in darker sections. Eight animated buttons control the jumps. The "cast" button leads to a series of screens highlighting individual actresses and containing a button to her scene — a nice touch! Trailers for three VGA discs are available, as well as a photo gallery/slide show of stills from Timeless.

This is a well-engineered disc, and perhaps a "gateway" volume for customers unfamiliar with Holliday's other work, so suggest it to those poor, un-car-washed customers.
