Vivid's sequel to their 1998 series update is actually a far better film than the original Debbie Does Dallas could ever hope to be. Lexus was the perfect Vivid girl to replace Bambi Woods, doing some of her best work yet for this movie. Sharon Mitchell also turns in a notable performance as her bitchy mother. The disc is excellent, if not perfect. After realizing that the video quality of their discs was suffering due to cramming too much information on one side, Vivid has apparently gone to DVD-10 (double-sided, single-layered discs) as their standard format. This allows them to include the various extras, like interviews, still galleries, and their "virtual reality" games, without compromising the integrity of the video feature. DDD'99 still has a few rough spots, but it's much better than some older Vivid discs.
