Doing It, an adult film with its roots in raw sex, emphasizes the fact that the best way to have fun, is to do it carnally. Here's one of those all-sex marathons, that either makes it or doesn't based on the amount of orgasms. Thanks to Sven Conrad, a creative director indeed, there's plenty of explosions here.
Two of the rich, beautiful people of sunny California, Lisa and Bob (played by Drea and Eric Edwards) have had it with their decadent home lifestyle. These nymphomaniacs need sex daily, and plan to tour the countryside with their motorcycle, searching for the hottest screwing they can find.
After some luscious underwater sex with their friends Lilly Marlene, Mike Horner and their servants, they begin their search for the ultimate pleasures. On the way, they meet a group of anti-pollution ecology students who are more than willing to share their sexy selves in an all-out orgy by the lake. There are hot springs, hot girls and very hot sex everywhere we look. In addition, Bob and Lisa are stalked by two military-types, one a rather cute woman, and another sexual feast begins. The film's sexual highlight however, involves an orgasmic scene with the two vagabonds and a group of society outcasts (they look like some sort of cultists), most of whom are extremely good-looking and sexually accomplished. Lifespring was never this good, I'm sure!
Drea and Rick Ardonne (as the Guru) perform an erotic, moody, almost surrealistic sexual encounter to the backdrop of sitar music. Certainly the bet erotic scene in the film, it reaffirms the feeling that animal lust brings on the most spontaneous turn-on in adult video.
There's lots of beautiful bodies on display throughout this release —Laurien Dominique, Laura Christine and Kathy Kay— and they do more than just tease here. Drea, the star of this sexual exhibition, does well in her role as Lisa. A sexual dynamo, Drea writhes, sweats, screams and comes with the best of them.
Eric Edwards, on the other hand, is a handsome, well-hung leading man whose sexual prowess certainly outweighs his adequate acting ability. These two, as a leading couple, perform hot enough sex to keep the film going themselves.
The thin story line is heightened by some adventurous photography. All of the sex scenes were shot outdoors, using natural light —sometimes twilight— making it a bit difficult on the eyes. Some scenes are simply too dark.
Otherwise, the use of outdoor shooting augments the jungle-like ambience of the performances. Most of the sex is swarmy and very rugged —full of sensual energy. These people are monetarily fulfilled; they must concentrate on carnal desires and they have their hands full from scene to scene. Not much dialogue is used, just body talk.
Doing It, with its many pleasures and few flaws, provides a sexual banquet. With this much sex, there's bound to be some very good scenes and a few average ones. But it's very well-directed, ambitious and a decent turn-on.
