Perhaps giving Moments Of Love a AAA rating is a bit generous.  There’s no quarrel with the “erotic” part of this rating – this film has bouncing bodies enough to delight any viewer.  It’s the “solid” description that is left a bit wanting.  What there is of the plot involves Tisa (Nicole Black), who lives with and has an intimate relationship with Mai, who finds out from her doctor (Ron Jeremy) that she has cancer (a subject better explored in Body Talk, a VCX release).  We eventually find out that the diagnosis is wrong, but not before Tisa decides to “experience life” by becoming a hooker. In this role, she meets blonde beauty Danielle, the famous Rhonda Jo Petty and several others.

The film certainly tries to be humorous between the copious and beautifully staged sex scenes.  Lisa DeLeeuw is a talented comedienne, playing a witty nurse to Ron Jeremy’s slightly addled doctor.  A few acting classes might have improved Jeremy’s performance here, but his encounter with DeLeeuw on the examining table needs no help.  Fans of female coupling will enjoy seeing two liaisons: Nicole and Mai, Rhonda Jo and Jade Wong.  Perhaps the strangest scene is when Don Hart manages to have Nicole stroke him to climax while she’s dozing on the couch in the doctor’s office.  Humorous bits to look for: the “living vibrator,” Lisa DeLeeuw’s soliloquy while reading, “Suite” magazine, and in general, the credits, which have the largest collection of pseudonyms adult video has seen in many years.  “Edited by: Mutt and Jeff?”  Come on….

Moments Of Love is certain a fine early effort from this new video company, which will afford many minutes of erotic stimulation.  The effort at humor is welcome, though it doesn’t always work.  Most of the sex scenes are excellently performed, though the direction during them seems to have been the all-too-popular “say something while you’re doing it.” Fortunately, the energy of the scenes far outweighs the cheesy dialogue.  Try this one.
