There's nothing better than a porno tape based on a TV sitcom from the 1960's, TV's real golden age for us post-baby boomers. I Dream of Ginger plays out the fantasy we all had when Larry Hagman got angry at Barbara Eden's antics during I Dream of Jeannie.

Ginger Lynn plays the genie to Paul Thomas' Hagman and she even giggles like the original. The inventive story gets bogged down at times, with subpar acting and lame attempts at humor. Lisa DeLeeuw, in a clothed cameo, plays the evil head-genie out to strip Ginger of her powers. But, of course, the playful Ginger wins her battle and celebrates in a tape-closing orgy.

Along the route to happiness, Ginger does Paul Thomas while he's tied to a bed, masturbates while talking to her dildo and sets up a decent three-way with newcomer Skip Layton, Lori Smith and Bunny Bleu.

I Dream of Ginger definitely fares better than Ginger, Vivid Video's debut release. It's very well-edited, although fuzzy sound quality did deter my enjoyment just a bit. But for fans of Ginger Lynn, she's on the screen most of the time and it's worth a look. Now how about a porn version of The Honeymooners.
