Scandal In The Mansion is a tongue-in-cheek spoof of detective films in the old Agatha Christy/Sherlock Holmes mold.  A wealthy tycoon is found dead in his bed and Inspector Armstrong (Craig A. Roberts) and his trusty and lusty sidekick Miss Walston (Lisa Deleeuw) are called in to investigate.  This is a light-hearted film in which the players aptly convey the message that they’re just having fun.  From the clichéd clothing (the inspector with pipe and trenchcoat, for example) to the extremely heavy-handed mock accents (each player has one – from French maid to German housekeeper), it’s all they can do to maintain a straight face through the various scenes.

The sex, which is fairly pervasive throughout the film, is also presented in the light and humorous manner. There’s a lot of ad-libbing in the dialogue – particularly during the sex scenes – some in the form of “asides,” and much of this comes off very well.  Notable performances are by Marc Wallace (the butler) and sultry Heather Adams (the housekeeper) who deliver a very hot scene together at the start of the film.  Lots of good sex follows, all done with taste and a satiric flair.  In Scandal In The Mansion the question is not “who done it?”, but rather “who hasn’t?”
