From the outside, Centerfold Screen Test looks like a film that will reveal 24 beautiful girls as they mount the "casting couch" to get a part in a Hollywood movie... a very provocative premise. But once inside your VCR, Centerfold quickly becomes choppy, monotonous and boring.
One by one, the women parade in front of the camera in what are supposedly actual screen tests. Some take off their clothes, but there is not even a hit of sex to keep the film from becoming anything more exciting than a cheap "girlie" magazine.
To make matters worse, not all the screen tests look authentic. In one, a girl waves to the camera one finger at a time after refusing to do a nude scene despite the director's promise of more money. And in the closing, a woman's screen test is interrupted before she can undress, and she gives a little speech about not seeing her naked is the entire world's loss.
I think neither she, nor Centerfold Screen Test, will be missed if they aren't seen.
