This sequel to Surrender in Paradise, again shot in the South Pacific, features some of the finest production values that I can remember seeing in an adult film. The cinematography captures the lush island surroundings while the editing, music and direction help make this film top-notch movie-making.
The group of gals that formed Jerry Butler’s stable in the first film come back to the island to take our hero home. But first, they must embark on a weird treasure hunt that eventually leads these Gilligan’s Island-type characters to a corrupt film crew (that features director Frazer) who are trying to exploit the sexual adventures of Butler.
Along the route, we get some of the hottest performers working today, doing it in all kinds of outdoor combinations. Jerry Butler has his way with many women, especially luscious Ginger Lynn at the beginning of the film. Raven, the dark-haired beauty who has just begun gracing our television screens, gets it on with Jay Serling in a scene that will leave you panting. And Butler gets to live out the ultimate male fantasy as he has five of these tanned girls at once.
While the story, which borrows freely from Raiders Of The Lost Ark, sometimes drags along, there’s enough uninhibited pleasures to highly recommend this film. Directors Frazer and Svetlana and their crew should give straight films a shot. But then, if we lose them to Hollywood, we’d all lose out. I mean, they’re better than a lot of mainstream directors working today.
