Luckily, in adult films, when you get a suspense film without suspense, or a mystery that has no tension, you might still have a good sex film. Such is the case with Good Girl, Bad Girl, a complex mystery with a lifeless script and exciting hardcore scenes.

Detective Joey Silvera and attractive accomplice Carol Cross attempt to solve the mystery surrounding the disappearance and/or death Velva, a movie star played by buxom redhead Colleen Brennan. While searching for clues, Silvera uncovers all of the sexual dirt concerning the actress, who may or may not have a double who was acting out her life. As Silvera says, "you don't get sperm on your ass sleeping along."

The story lumbers to an unsatisfying conclusion, but not without several spicy sex scenes. Silvera and Carol Cross make an intriguing sexual duo, while Sharon Mitchell looks like the dynamo that she's always been. While Silvera finally confronts Brennan as Velva or her double, the sexual juices flow in a great scene on a stairway.

Director Art Benn and editor Ben Fabric Risin (probably the same guy) keep the sex scenes moving at a staccato pace. But Benn seems to have bitten off a bit too much in the plot end. Dixie Ray, Hollywood Star, a good mystery with disappointing sex, did just the opposite. Now let's get these two factions together and make a hot sex movie with a really suspenseful plot. That would be worth waiting for.
