If you spell the director's name backwards you get "Charles Perverted". Where shall we go from here? First we call ol' Chuckie out on the carpet for not being as perverted as he'd like us to believe.
I may be wrong, but the primitively dubbed soundtrack and the look and texture of this film lead me to believe this is a bunch of loops shot with a Nazi motif and strong together for this release.
This 1982 film is for raunch fans only. There's a lot of action, all of it close-up and graphic. However, I feel this film doesn't deliver. With all the bondage and torture situations, the producers had the chance to make a distressing erotic film about the dark side of human sexuality. Instead, they've opted to take the easy path by making a laugher. Stalag 69 can be best appreciated if you're a member of the raincoat brigade, or else slightly under the influence.
