Box cover text is often inane or even deceptive, but it can also be vital since so few adult videos - including animated ones - have mastered the art of providing meaningful context without bogging down the action.

In this computer generated story of lust unleashed, six semi-strangers find themselves stranded on a tropical island where they are entirely comfortable wearing next to nothing, if that much. As the lazy days progress, their appetites for sex increase until one of them satisfies it not merely with another castaway but with a strange aquatic beast.

Meanwhile, a centaur's hidden cameras capture their every move, no matter how far from shore.

An entertaining concept featuring lots of sex, competent CGI and a less than inspired script.

Hot? Horny? Frustrated? Don't despair; get away from it all on Pleasure Island! What an ad campaign the producers of this film could have had – if only this island could deliver all the pleasures it promises. But, alas, the carnal pleasures are clouded by intermittent showers of dullness.

The premise behind Pleasure Island seems like a great one for a porn flick – albeit one already attempted several times – a "Fantasy Island" where the fantasies all center around "Ze bazoom" instead of "Ze plane." But the sexual episodes are just too ordinary and the plot just too minimal for this film to succeed in making everyone's fantasies come to life.

Sure, it does have it's good points. There are some genuinely funny lines and a few erotic moments. In brief, the story centers on four college students (Kim Carson, Kelly Nichols, Tish Ambrose and Renee Summers) who win a vacation in a motel on the island of Home (the name of the island being the basis for repeated, tired quips). There is one room in the motel – Room 13 – which is magical. Open it, walk through, and your most intimate sexual fantasy is realized. The most erotic scene (at least in the fantasy eye of this viewer) involves the four ladies and their housemother (Chelsea Blake). It's a hot all-girl grouping.

Unfortunately, Club Med this island ain't. Hey, what an idea for a porn movie!
